Húsenice

Socializmus zanechal na tvári našich miest nezmazateľné, často neprívetivé
stopy. Jednou z nich je aj vyše 300 metrové nadzemné potrubie
na košickom sídlisku Železníky tiahnuce sa pozdĺž ulice Užhorodská.
Rúry pretínajú vstup do miestneho cintorína a parkovisko, kde sa vyzdvihujú
nad úroveň terénu – to všetko môžu pozorovať zo svojich
okien aj deti z miestnej školy.
Našim zámerom je pretvorenie tejto socialisticky nekorektnej štruktúry
na objekt, larvu, húsenicu, žrúta, pridaním niekoľkých kovových prvkov
a farebných pruhov. Oživenie priestoru, detská hravosť, street art.

Socialism has left indelible and often unpleasant marks on our cities.
This is the case of more than a 300 metres grade level piping in a housing
estate in Košice – in Zelezniky, running along Uzhorodska Street. The piping
crosses the entrance into the local cemetery and to the car park where
it moves up above the level of ground. This can also be seen by children
through the windows of the local school. Through our intervention
we aim to recreate this socialistic and incorrect construction as a larva
object, larva – grub – glutton through adding several metal elements and
coloured strips. Variegation of space – child playfulness – street art.
